The Lafayette Call, commenting on the death of Miss Emma Greist, says: “Miss Emma Greist, late a school teacher at Marion, Ind., who died at the Home Hospital Saturday afternoon from the effects of an operation for the removal of a fibroid tumor, was a daughter of Edmond Greist, of Crawfordsville. She was 38 years of age and had been teaching for several years. She came to Lafayette on last Tuesday to have the operation performed. Miss Greist belonged to a family of teachers. Her sister, Miss Anna Greist, who is now teaching in Pueblo, Col., was employed as a teacher in the Centennial School for five or six years, completing her work here in 1898. Another sister, Mrs. Lizzie Morrison, who is now teaching in Pueblo, had charge of one of the rooms in the Oakland School for a short time.” -- thanks muches to "S"
